Request for Qualifications (RFQ): Downtown Fairfield Parking Study
The Connecticut Metropolitan Council of Governments (MetroCOG) and the Town of Fairfield Community and Economic Development Department are partnering on the Downtown Fairfield Parking Study. The Downtown Fairfield Parking Study is intended to develop a Parking Master Plan that seeks to optimize parking operations and land utilization within Downtown Fairfield.
A baseline parking conditions evaluation will serve to identify the current strengths, challenges, and opportunities for improvement. Robust engagement will be conducted throughout the process to ensure that improvements are consistent with the needs and standards of Fairfield Town Staff, Fairfield Boards and Commissions, residents, property owners, merchants and their employees, and visitors. A review of zoning regulations, parking codes, and ordinances will identify and address institutional barriers to improvements. Lastly, a final Master Plan and accompanying Action Plan will outline recommendations for physical, operational, and experiential improvements that will serve towards a safer, easier to navigate, and more vibrant Downtown Fairfield.
